Namaste! I am Saira and I have a passion for fitness! I grew up in a traditional Indian family and am so proud of my culture and heritage. After high school I started working out in a gym and fell in love with healthy eating, exercise and lifting weights. After graduating from college I pursued a demanding career, grew my family and struggled to find balance. However, through a healthy lifestyle I managed to lose over 30 pounds! Now years later I have managed to keep the weight off. As a fitness competitor, mom and wife I would love to share what I have learned and help you reach your fitness goals!
I started my fitness journey nearly 20 years ago and I can happily say my journey is still evolving. I am an Industrial engineer (B.S. & M.S., MBA) by training. In graduate school I specialized in Human Factors Engineering - studying Biomechanics, Physiology and Anatomy, I love using my engineering problem-solving skills to research what works in food, fashion and fitness. This process has helped me lose over 30 pounds and even helped me become a National level fitness competitor!
I believe a healthy lifestyle is made up of a healthy mind and body. I have learned a tremendous amount along my journey and I would love to share my tips and tricks on food fashion and fitness with you.
I have taken some of the traditional Indian foods I loved eating while growing up and 'renovated' them into healthier versions. I have tried lots of exercises and found ones which are effective, simple and require little to no equipment. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle does not have to be overwhelming. My goal is to share my resources, information and tips with you through free weekly videos!
